2024 Proposed Changes to the St. John Lutheran Church Constitution and Bylaws
The St John Lutheran Church Congregation Council is proposing changes to the Constitution and Bylaws. The changes fall into three main categories:
1. Add the new school started in 2023
2. Move from a Calendar Year to a Fiscal Year (8/01 to 7/31)
3. Clarify roles and streamline Congregation Council.
There will be two Townhall Meetings to discuss the proposed changes: August 11 at 9:30am and August 18 at 12:15pm.
On Sunday, August 25, there will be a Special Congregation Meeting at 12:15pm to vote on changing the Constitution and Bylaws.
After approval at the August 25 meeting, the Constitution must then be ratified at the Annual Meeting on September 29.
To reduce mailing costs, we ask that you pick up the amended Constitution, amended Bylaws and a presentation listing the changes at the Info Desk at church. The documents are also available here:
